CRYSTAL PALACE WANT CHELSEA’S IVANOVIC

English Premier League side Crystal Palace want Chelsea’s veteran defender Branislav Ivanovic as the player remains out of favour at Stamford Bridge.

Antonio Conte’s new formation has forced out the Serb as the manager prefers three quick players at the back. According to reports, Crystal Palace are willing to play the veteran as the 32-year old right back might get axed from Chelsea.

With the current set-up, Chelsea have enjoyed four wins in four games. They have kept a clean sheet and scored eleven goals, even against top teams. Ivanovic last played for the blues in the 3-0 loss to Arsenal on September 24. With just three players at the back, Victor Moses has taken his spot. Moses has been impressive in the role, forcing speculation that Ivanovic might exit the club at the end of the season before his career finally winds down completely.

There are reportedly a few clubs interested in signing the player. The Chinese Super League clubs want the player aside European sides, reports say. Croydon Advertiser reports that Ivanovic would prefer to remain in England so a move to Crystal Palace would not be ridiculous. Aside Palace, West Ham is another side that is allegedly keen on signing him when he exits the Blues. AC Milan and Marseille are likely European targets, while Jiangsu Suning want him in China.

The long-serving player might have to exit the blues as it seems he would not be able to fit in again. John Terry lost his spot as well, and might have to move to another league when his deal ends later in the year. Conte seems fine with the combination of Moses, David Luiz and Marco Alonso at the back. The system might be changed but seems to be working well for the team at the moment.
