SAM ALLARDYCE PALACE TASTE DEFEAT

Tuesday’s night encounter between Crystal Palace and Swansea produced some of the most unforgettable moments in the premier league, with Swansea ending their recent poor run of form with a much-deserved victory.

Swansea, who are currently in the relegation zone, edged out Crystal Palace all thanks to an Angel Rangel’s late minute goal.

For Sam Allardyce, changing the fortunes of crystal palace will not come as easy as he expected. If anything was evident on Tuesday night, it was the fact it would take this his new side time to understand the dogged kind of football Allardyce believes will keep Crystal Palace above relegation.

With the recent defeat, Allardyce would be looking to bolster his squad in an attempt to keep this ailing Crystal Palace team in the premier league. For Swansea, the win means a lot for Coach Paul Clement boys who will now try to turn the tide in their favor by getting a favorable result from their next match.

The match between Crystal Palace and Swansea was Big Sam’s first home game, and he was greeted with some warm reception from the crystal city faithful having been appointed as their new manager a fortnight ago, after Alan Pardew’s sacking.

Since his appointment, Allardyce has been trying to gain some defensive solidity which has seen him tweaked the natural position of both Zaha and Andro Townsend by asking them to sit much deeper. However, these new roles might take time to yield results as Swansea were able to expose their weakness times and times again.

For Allardyce, it might take some time before his team starts firing on all cylinders, but then the big boss knows he doesn’t have that luxury of time. Hence, he would be trying to change things by maybe bringing in one or two players that know what it takes to play the Big Sam’s way.
