West Brom are one of the clubs keen to sign Crystal Palace midfielder

James McCarthy according to reports coming out of the British media. The interest of West Brom in the Crystal Palace midfielder was revealed by the publication from the Daily Mail. West Brom are not the only club interested in James McCarthy as some other English teams also want to sign the player when his Crystal Palace contract expires this summer. James McCarthy has less than six months to run on his existing Palace deal and he’s not expected to be offered a new contract at Selhurst Park as things stand.James McCarthy can start talks over a free transfer move with clubs outside the English soil though the interest in his services is mainly from within the English soil.

Ex-Wigan Athletic and Everton midfielder James McCarthy is attracting the interest of three Premier League teams apart from West Brom. Brighton & Hove Albion, West Ham United and Burnley are the English top flight teams keen to take James McCarthy on a free transfer this summer. Apart from the Premier League clubs, English Championship team Bournemouth are also keeping an eye on the Republic of Ireland international player. The 30-year-old is a target for the Cherries who are in their first season back in the Championship after suffering relegation from the top flight. Scottish Premiership holders Celtic also want to sign James McCarthy who earns £50,000 at Crystal Palace.

Sam Allardyce wants James McCarthy at West Brom but it remains to be seen if the Baggies want to sign him this month as they try to avoid relegation from the Premier League this term. West Brom will have to pay a transfer fee for the player if they want to make him their second signing of the month after Robert Snodgrass.
