Ahead of their trip to face Palace at Selhurst Park, Southampton have a lot of injury worries and they could be without seven first team players. Two of those seven first team players are their top two goalkeepers namely Alex McCarthy and Fraser Foster. The Saints signed 40-year-old goalkeeper Willy Caballero on a short-term deal until January in the bid to cover up for the injuries to the two goalkeepers. McCarthy sustained a hamstring problem during the recent home league game against Brighton & Hove Albion and he has been ruled out of action until next month, while Foster is expected to make an earlier return than McCarthy. Foster has been struggling with a groin injury, but he’s on course to return to the Saints squad for the Brentford game at the weekend.
