Crystal Palace’s loss to Burnley means they hold the record for first team to lose its first four games in the top flight, worse without scoring.
As Referee Michael Oliver blew the whistle to end the game against Sean Dyche’s team, Frank de Boer knew it means trouble. His face obviously showed it.
The eighth manager of the club in seven years would likely go the path of George Burley, Dougie Freedman, Ian Holloway, Tony Pulis, Neil Warnock, Alan Pardew and Sam Allardyce – who helped them stay afloat last term.
Going into the game at Turf Moor, it was a difficult one but the team had to hope. They had lost three games straight and were yet to score their first. They are likely to sit at the bottom of the table at the end of the week so they hoped. They fought hard but they could not defeat Burnley. Continue reading “CRYSTAL PALACE LOSE AGAIN”
Liverpool defender MamadouSakho has reportedly agreed personal terms with his prospective new employers Crystal Palace.
The 27-year old has been linked with the Premier League side this summer following his successful short stint with the club last season.
Liverpool want up to £30 million for the player but this is slowing down the deal as Palace hope the Redswould soften their stance. The Eagles would not be able to offer that much for the defender even though the club has identified Sakho as their summer defensive target.
With European sides scrambling for decent centre half, Liverpool feel the valuation is in place. The pedigree, experience and recent performances also lend credence to the claim. The price of other acquired defenders this summer helps the Merseyside maintain their stance. Continue reading “SAKHO AGREES PERSONAL TERMS WITH PALACE”
Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho has complained of tight fixtures again.
He has criticised the schedule of the club in recent weeks as they juggle between the various competitions they are involved in.
The Red Devils are set to play Ajax in next week’s Europa League final. Mourinho says he is frustrated that the team did not get more time to prepare. The Portuguese preferred that the last games of the season – which are played at the same time – should have been moved to Saturday instead of the Sunday afternoon it is scheduled.
The game presents Mourinho with an opportunity to get Champions League football next season if they win the title. It would be another opportunity to get a major trophy aside their EFL Cup. Continue reading “MOURINHO COMPLAINS OF TIGHT FIXTURES”
Premier League side Crystal Palace are not sure they would eventually give former Liverpool star MamadouSakhoa deal, according to reports in England.

The 27-year-old has been decent since he started featuring for the Glaziers. Big Sam admits this but opines that getting a permanent deal is still difficult. However, he hailed the player’s contributions to the team.
“It would be a big negotiation at the end of the season if we were to stay in the Premier League. At this moment in time Mama has chosen crystal Palace to play first-team football, I think he has settled into the environment exceptionally well,” Allardyce said.

Tuesday’s night encounter between Crystal Palace and Swansea produced some of the most unforgettable moments in the premier league, with Swansea ending their recent poor run of form with a much-deserved victory.
Swansea, who are currently in the relegation zone, edged out Crystal Palace all thanks to an Angel Rangel’s late minute goal.
For Sam Allardyce, changing the fortunes of crystal palace will not come as easy as he expected. If anything was evident on Tuesday night, it was the fact it would take this his new side time to understand the dogged kind of football Allardyce believes will keep Crystal Palace above relegation.
With the recent defeat, Allardyce would be looking to bolster his squad in an attempt to keep this ailing Crystal Palace team in the premier league. For Swansea, the win means a lot for Coach Paul Clement boys who will now try to turn the tide in their favor by getting a favorable result from their next match.
